  • Shirakawago Village
    A village with rice fields and a river running through it. 114thatched roof stand together in the village, which was registeredas a World Heritage Site in 1995.
  • Osaka Castle
    The construction of Osaka Castle started in 1583 on the former site of the Ishiyama Honganji Temple, which had been destroyed by Oda Nobunaga thirteen years earlier. Toyotomi Hideyoshi intended the castle to become the center of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule. It was the largest castle at the time.
  • Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
    The thick green bamboo stalks seem to continue endlessly in every direction and there's a strange quality to the light.
  • Takayama Old Town
    It has been beautifully preserved with many buildings and whole streets of houses dating from the Edo Period. This district was designated an area of important traditional buildings by the Japanese Government.
  • Oshino Hakkai
    The 8 ponds are filled by snow melted from Mount Fuji which filters down the mountain through lava for over 80 years resulting in very clear spring water.
